Safety Information: 100th Anniversary Parade of Flight and North Island Open House

For Your Safety

We are happy to have you, your friends and family as our guests at 100th Anniversary Parade of Flight and North Island Open House, February 12, as we celebrate the Centennial of Naval Aviation. We will do everything to ensure that your Open House experience is safe and enjoyable. Every effort will be made to minimize delays in entering and leaving the air station.

We ask for your cooperation in keeping potentially dangerous items safely outside the air station. To speed up the process, there will be checkpoints at all venue entrances, as well as at the entrance to the pier for ship tours. All bags will be inspected, and all individuals are subject to search prior to entering the venue gates, or onto the pier. It is recommended that spectators minimize the number and size of permitted items to reduce the inspection time prior to access into the venue gates. Please note that this security applies to all military and civilian personnel and is in effect throughout the year.

ALL adults need to have a VALID form of identification. To bring your vehicle onto a military base, you must have a valid driver’s license, current registration and physical proof of insurance (Insurance card). If driving a rental car, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance & car rental agreement will be required.
