Crown Room Reception and Ballroom New Year’s Eve Gala
The evening will begin with a Chandon reception in the magnificent Crown Room, which will be draped in elegant period decor. A procession will then make its way into the spectacular oceanfront Ballroom that will shimmer and sparkle with beautiful ice sculptures, crystal and sea-inspired aquamarine accents and classic black and white linens. A lavish four-course dinner will be served with wine and Chandon, followed by Hennessey XO and chocolate offerings. The dinner menu will feature items such as Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque, Red Wine Braised Kobe Short Rib and Maine Lobster Tail Fricassee, and Warm Manjari Chocolate Bombe.
Then, sweep across the dance floor to the classic and contemporary sounds of San Diego favorites The Mar Dels. At midnight, ring in 2011 with a Moet & Chandon Imperial champagne toast.
The reception begins at 7pm in the Crown Room followed by dinner and dancing in the Ballroom. The cost for the New Year’s Eve reception and gala is $260 per person (includes tax and gratuity) or $310 per person for preferred ring-side seating (includes tax and gratuity).
1500 OCEAN New Year’s Celebration
For a more intimate celebration, 1500 OCEAN, The Del’s signature restaurant, offers special menu items complemented by contemporary ambiance and spectacular Pacific views.
New Year’s Day Champagne Brunch
Keep the party going on January 1 with the annual New Year’s Day champagne brunch in the historic Crown Room from 10am to 2pm. Guests will enjoy seven distinct stations creating a progressive dining experience featuring seasonal chef’s compositions and fresh local ingredients. Stations include lavish carvings, seafood, Bloody Mary bar with Chopin, dessert and much more. Cost is $77 for adults, $35 for children ages 6-10 and free for children ages 5 and under.
Kids and Teens New Year’s Parties
The Del offers separate parties at Kidtopia from 7pm to 12:30am for kids ages 4 to 12 ($100 for the first child and $90 for each additional child). Teens, ages 13 to 17, will have fun at Vibz Teen Lounge ($60 per person). Celebrations include dinner, crafts, beach games, bonfires and more.
