Crown City Cyclists Thank Fire Department

Last month, the cycling group thanked the Coronado Fire Department with a plaque recognizing the many times —well over a dozen—that they have come to the group’s rescue.

Enough CCC members, who have broken their clavicle and more in bike spills, have formed their own mini-group. They laughingly call themselves the Crown City Cyclist’s Clavicle Club (or CCCCC). These riders and other members of the group posed with several firemen who came to their meeting place to receive the plaque.

Receiving the plaque were Jason Summers, Ted Porter and David Hingley. They later joined the cyclists for coffee and donuts—a mainstay of the CCC ride.
