NAVAL BASE CORONADO, Calif., — Naval Base Coronado Commanding Officer, Capt. Tony Gaiani, and Coronado Mayor, Casey Tanaka, took to the air today to view firsthand the approaches and flight patterns followed by Naval Aircraft at Naval Air Station North Island. Mayor Tanaka addressed the Sailors of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light Four Three during command quarters prior to the flight. “Coronado’s a Navy town and we are really proud of the work you do,” said Mayor Tanaka. He explained that it was important for him to have the opportunity to relay his message to the Sailors and concluded with “thank you for having me today and thank you for being our neighbors.” Read the entire Navy Compass article here.
