Each week, the City Manager’s Office provides an update that includes information on programs, services and issues within the City, as well as news, project updates and follow-up information when necessary.

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day:   The City of Coronado will observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday on Monday, January 16, and reminds residents and businesses that some municipal facilities will remain open and some will close. Coronado Police and Fire will be staffed for the holiday. Public Services will be on call over the holiday to respond to emergencies. Certain City of Coronado departments and services will be open with varying hours of operation. Public Services crews will not sweep streets on the holiday. EDCO will perform regular residential trash collection.

MLK Schedule

  • January Naval Complexes Meeting:  Naval Base Coronado Commanding Officer Capt. Scott Mulvehill will address the topic of Naval Air Station North Island flight patterns and general air operations during the January Naval Complexes meeting. The community is encouraged to attend. The meeting is set for 3 p.m. on Monday, January 23, at City Hall, 1825 Strand Way.
  • Unclaimed Funds:  The City of Coronado is required by state law to advertise the holding of unclaimed funds belonging to individuals and organizations that have done business with or received services from the City. A list of these unclaimed funds will be posted in the local newspapers for two consecutive weeks. If no one claims the funds 45 days after publication of the notices, or by February 27, the funds will be the property of the City by City Council action which will occur on March 7. If you find that you have unclaimed funds with the City, email [email protected] or write to Accounts Payable Division, Unclaimed Money, 1825 Strand Way, Coronado, California, 92120, and submit a request.
