Coronado Recreation is offering a variety of performing arts camps this summer. From the new Camp Magic, where 7-12 year olds will learn tricks and the art of performance to the Musical Theater Camp where actors and singers (ages 7-12) rehearse for two weeks to put together a full musical performance of Willy Wonka. Younger actors (ages 5-7) can learn singing and dancing in the Jr Musical Theater Camp the week of June 27-July 1st. Also, new this summer is Drama-O-Rama Camp where children ages 7-12 will get to use their imagination in skits, improvisation, theater games, dance and singing. Children of all ages who love to dance can choose from learning hip hop, ballet, tap, breakdancing, jazz, tricks, cheer or tumbling, in one of the many dance camps including a Broadway Dance Camp, a So You Think You Can Dance Camp, a Breakdance Freestyle Camp, a Hip Hop Camp and a Cheer and Dance Camp. All these camps are being held at the Coronado Community Center or at the Club Room in Glorietta Bay Park.
