Come Meet Runner and New Furry Feline Additions at PAWS of Coronado

Runner seems to be a Manchester Terrier/Miniature Pinscher blend. He got his name because he was found running between 6th and 7th and A Avenue in Coronado and apparently had been doing so for quite a while He weighs 14 lbs and is estimated to be a year old. Runner is totally into “his people”. He bonds easily and just has to be with someone. If you have a spare lap, he’s the guy to fill it. He would do best in a home with family or another dog near to reassure him that he has a forever place to call his own. Runner walks nicely on a leash and appears to get along just fine with other dogs. Come meet Runner at the Coronado Animal Care Facility and discover your next best friend. It will be worth the trip!

Cricket is a male Multi-colored Tabby youngster, born mid April 2012. Found as a stray kitty, he comes to us in search of a family who will love him every day and keep him safe. This young cat is a big love bug, obviously used to his life with humans. His beauty and charm make him a stand out in the ranks of the Coronado Animal Care Facility community room. Meeting him is all you need to do. He’s waiting to make your first impression one of, “he’s the guy we’ve been looking for. Can we fill out an application?”

Ali is a female grey/white kitten with white boots and bib. Born mid July 2012, she’s still young and is sweet as can be. Lap kitty comes to mind when it comes time to talk about her personality. Inviting, attentive and all around kissable, this girl will make a wonderful companion. Her copper-rimmed eyes are her most stunning feature. It’s like looking at an art piece, trying to figure out how the arrangement of colors came to be. Meeting her in person will answer all those questions of whether or not she’s right for your family. Don’t hesitate, it will be worth the trip.

Caden is a female black/white kitten. Born the first week of August 2012, she’s itty bitty and eager to join a loving family of her own. This little one was raised in foster care. It is this early bond with humans that makes these foster babies so special; they are used to kisses and hugs. Like all kittens, play time comes first, but when it’s time to rest, cuddles and kisses top the list for comforts. She might be little, but Miss Caden has her own voice and isn’t afraid to tell other kitties, they have crossed the line. This pint-size beauty is cute as can be and will love you for many years to come. Make the drive to Coronado. Meeting her is the first step.

You can meet other dogs and cats available for adoption at the Coronado Animal Care Facility (ACF) on 1395 First Street. Hours of operation are 9am – 4pm, every day but major holidays. To see and read about other animals needing homes, please view our websites: pawsofcoronado.org and petfinder.com. All our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on their immunizations prior to their adoption. With school back in session, consider adding a pet to your home to act as a Study Buddy to keep the children company while they do their homework assignments. The stress of test taking can be greatly reduced having a furry friend to encourage one to persevere, knowing full well, your buddy is there for you when it’s break time.
