NAVAL AIR STATION NORTH ISLAND, CA An enlisted service member was found unresponsive and presumed dead within the Commander Naval Air Forces building complex on Naval Air Station North Island, at approximately 5:50 a.m.
The cause of death is unknown at this time. The name of the service member will be released pending notification of the next of kin.
The Sailor was an active duty enlisted service member, based at Naval Air Station North Island, California
The Navy Criminal Investigative Service and Naval Base Coronado Security are conducting an investigation into the cause of death, which has not been determined; however there are no indications of foul play at this time.
