Our Pennies for PAWS campaign kicked off on April 10th and so far we have collected over $500.00! Throughout Coronado, donation dog houses with the bright yellow PAWS logo can be found on counters in Island Cleaners, Coronado Shoe Repair, Coronado Golf Course, Pacific Western Bank, Boney’s, Coronado Hardware, Tartine’s, Coldwell Banker, Lee Mather Co Realtors, Crown Cleaners, Villa Nueva Restaurant, Rite Aid, Be Polish, Kidology, Pollyanna’s, and the Coronado Senior Center. IB Pet Hospital is also getting into the action by sending us contributions from their clients.
Recently in Ms. Libby Patrick’s first grade class at Village Elementary School, Caroline Haines, the coordinator for the campaign, had the opportunity to answer questions from the kids about the Coronado Animal Care Facility (ACF) and the work that PAWS does there. That’s Caroline in the center of the photo, with the proud new contributors all around her. Look for the Pennies for PAWS donation dog houses around town and join in the fun. Your pennies (and larger denominations) will add up to medical care and adoption placement for Coronado’s lost, stray and relinquished animals.
