CORONADO A multivehicle accident with one fatality and other injuries has shut down traffic on part of the Silver Strand in Coronado, authorities said.
The Strand is closed in both directions between Leyte Road and the Coronado Cays housing development.
One person was killed in the accident and several were taken to hospitals, said Coronado police spokeswoman Lea Corbin.
The accident occurred in the 5500 block of Silver Strand just before Cays Boulevard, she said.
