UPDATE Friday, August 24 – Caltrans will be closing the left two northbound SR-75 lanes (into San Diego) on four consecutive nights (instead of just Thursday night) from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. starting Monday, August 27 and ending Friday morning, August 31.
Maintenance work on the San Diego-Coronado Bridge started last week and will continue through next week.
The Barrier Wall Machine normally uses sensor loops to assist in guiding it as it reconfigures the lanes from three lanes to two lanes in opposite directions. The loops were inoperable and Caltrans is now in the process of replacing them. While this is being done, the Barrier Wall Machine will move the wall to the following configurations at the following times:
Southbound SR-75/3 lanes into Coronado at 4:30 a.m.
Northbound SR-75/3 lanes into San Diego at 1:30 p.m.
Also, there are overnight lane closures that started Monday and will continue through Friday, August 31. The northbound left lane will be closed from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. for electrical work Monday night through Friday morning. The left two lanes will be closed on Thursday, August 30 at 9 p.m. to Friday, August 31 at 4 a.m.
