Softball: CHS Girls Score One Win, Take One Loss

softballThis week, Coronado’s Softball team played two games, the first on Wednesday at Madison High School. “We came out hitting the ball hard and a strong pitching performance by Emma Casamassima, who struck out 9 players, gave us our fourth win of the season,” shared Coach Tony Isabella. The winning score for Coronado was 11-3.

The following day, the team traveled to Morse High School for the first time this season. Morse gained a four-run lead in four innings, scoring a fifth run in the sixth and two more runs in the seventh. The final score was 6-7, a victory for Morse. “However, we did have 11 hits,” Coach Isabella commented. “Casamassima and Laiken Warner narrowly missed home runs with two hard hits, and we recorded a total of five doubles.”

Varsity softball has a current record of four wins to six losses.
