Widowed at thirty-one, with a two-year-old son, Anne realized the importance of working with a trusted advisor to develop a financial plan that would restore balance and security in her life. What Anne experienced compelled her to become an expert advisor in wealth management herself.
After earning her MBA in Finance from San Diego State University, Anne worked at Brandes Investment Partners in San Diego for 10 years. Anne helped structure and build the Portfolio Management Department, eventually becoming a Senior Portfolio Manager. During this period, the firm grew assets from $1 Billion to over $100 Billion while Anne led the team devoted to private client accounts. Anne never stopped learning. Anne earned her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1999. This credential is as widely respected for its focus on current investment expertise and performing in the client’s best interest.
Anne wanted to do more, so she pursued and completed her CFP® certification and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional in 2015. The CFP® certification matters because Financial Planners who obtain it are bound by rigorous standards of care, always ensuring that their client’s interests are placed first. Notably, only 20% of financial advisors hold a CFP® designation, fewer advisors hold a CFA designation, and a fraction of those individuals are female. This level of commitment and compassion for her clients sets Anne apart from other advisors around the country.

Anne gives back by volunteering her time to teach classes for the Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org) at Mira Costa College in San Diego. In addition, Anne and her Partner, Jane Braun, put on a monthly educational lecture series in Coronado, “Wealth & Wisdom for Women.” Anne has lived in Coronado for over 15 years. She resides with her husband and two of their three children. She enjoys volunteering in the Coronado public schools, is an active member of National Charity League, and is an advocate for women’s issues.
