Inviting all girls in grades K – 12th to come and see what we are all about. Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls – all girls – where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adult volunteers, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
Girl Scouts is a “girl-led” organization where girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Programs that foster courage, confidence and character in girls ultimately enable them to discover their values, skills, and the world around them; connect with others in a multicultural and diverse environment; and take action to make a difference in the world. Research shows that most of the female CEOs of major corporations were… YES – Girl Scouts!
Give your girl the advantages of Girl Scouts! Membership is open to girls in grades K-12 (and adult volunteers) who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Annual membership dues are $12.00, but no girl is denied membership because of inability to pay. Financial assistance is available. Cost of activities vary, many times, only to cover the cost of supplies and entry fees. Summer Camps and world travel are also exciting programs to take part in. Girl Scout uniforms and handbooks are recommended but not required. Girl Scout Troop dues are determined by girls in cooperation with their Girl Scout Leaders.
To register, or find out if Girl Scouts is for you, drop by the Coronado Library Winn Room on Tuesday, August 29th anytime between 6pm and 7pm to see how you can become part of the largest women’s organization in the world.
