Second Public Forum Set for May 30th
At the March 1st public forum on transitional housing many Coronado community members had to leave when the Fire Marshall arrived and determined that the number of people in the Winn Room exceeded the limit. These people, as well as other citizens who never even got into the room, did not have an opportunity to ask questions or make comments. Additionally, at the end of the one hour forum, there were still many people present raising their hands with questions. Mayor Bailey, who moderated the forum, promised that a second forum in a larger room would be scheduled.
Two local families, who feel there are many people in the community who still want that second forum, have decided to sponsor one. Gregg and Cathy Anderson and Casey and Kathryn Blitt have reserved the Nautilus Room at the Community Center for Tuesday, May 30th, a date cleared with Mayor Bailey. Doors to the room will open at 6:30pm and the forum will begin promptly at 7pm. Generate Hope has been invited to attend to answer questions about transitional housing. The forum will be moderated by a neutral party.
