Here’s your chance to play in the snow in southern California on Friday, December 2nd at the City of Coronado’s Snow Mountain. This highlight of Coronado’s 41st Annual Holiday Open House features tons and tons of snow for children to play on at the Coronado Ferry Landing (1201 First Street, Coronado 92118). Snow Mountain opens at 2:00pm so parents and young children can play on the snow before the crowds arrive! Also, you will want to get there early to meet Santa as he arrives in Coronado on the ferry at 3:20pm (or better yet, ride the 3:00pm ferry from San Diego to Coronado with Santa and his elves!) From 2:00-7:00pm there will be holiday crafts, face painting, visits with Santa, jumpees, a prize wheel, strolling entertainment, hot chocolate, cookies and SNOW!
These holiday activities are provided free of charge thanks to the generous funding from the San Diego Unified Port District Tidelands Activation Program and the support of the Coronado Ferry Landing and Coronado Chamber of Commerce. For more information on Snow Mountain contact the City of Coronado Recreation Department at (619) 522-7342.
