Coronado Playhouse will open their six-week run of the Broadway classic A CHORUS LINE this Friday, November 4th. As The Community’s Theatre, they are partnered with the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank in a campaign called “From Soup Line to Chorus Line”.
During the run of the production, Coronado Playhouse is raising money and awareness to benefit The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Theatre-goers are encouraged to bring canned goods and non-perishable food items to any performance as a donation. Items most needed include canned meats and tuna, peanut butter, canned soups, fruits, vegetables and beans. Also on the list are spaghetti, cereal, rice and macaroni and cheese.
This Saturday, November 5th is a special event to give everyone a chance to be on stage and know what it’s like to be a part of a huge Broadway show. Your chance to support the theatre and walk away with a new appreciation of what it takes to be “on the line”. Learn some of the classic steps from the original dance movement taught by show choreographer, Jennie Gray Connard. This fun event is open to everyone and is offered to all levels of ability. Please make a $20 suggested donation, or admission is free with the purchase of a new CPH membership at any level. Go to CoronadoPlayhouse.com/igotit for details and payment options.
