Pookie: The Affectionate Tortie

Are you open to a wonderful possibility?

Pookie is one amazing cat with so much to offer her human. She is confident, affectionate, outgoing and – while this may disappoint some of the Tortie lovers in the crowd – she has shown no sign of “Tortitude”.

She may not be the one to be up front and in your face seeking attention, but as soon as you focus on her she is ready and waiting for the pets she so dearly loves. She particularly loves having her head and ears rubbed. One of cat petting volunteers told us that as she was giving Pookie a belly rub, Pookie pushed at her hand so that she would rub her ear instead. Beauty and brains!

Pookie was enrolled in our leash training program and took to it right away. When you come to meet her, you may see her strutting her stuff cruising the hallways of the facility.

Are you looking for a feline companion to bring wonderful possibilities to your life? Come meet Pookie and discover just how special she is!

You can meet Pookie at the Coronado Animal Care Facility any day between 9:00am and 4:00pm (except major holidays). The Coronado Animal Care Facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Pookie, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or you may complete the Online Cat Adoption Application.

If you have any questions, please contact Cat Adoptions online or call Bob at 619-840-9727.
