Coronado Recreation to Host Afternoon of Free “Retreat from the Heat” Activities Tomorrow

CORONADO, CA (September 9, 2015) – The City of Coronado invites local students with a minimum day tomorrow to “Retreat From the Heat” with the Recreation Department. Come play at the Coronado Community Center Thursday, Sept. 10, starting at 12:30 p.m. There is no charge but children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Here’s the schedule and rules:

12:30 to 8 p.m. — Swim in the pool, climb the rock wall, play games, create crafts.
12:30 to 3 p.m. — Movie in the banquet room
12:30 to 4 p.m. — Activities (crafts and games) in classrooms
12:30 to 7 p.m. — Climb the rock wall
12:30 to 6 p.m. — Games in the Gymnasium
12:30 to 8 p.m. — “Swim” in the Pool

NO FEES will be charged but please note:

• This is not child care or babysitting.
• Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Pool is open until maximum capacity is met.
• Participants must follow all rules, policies, age limits, waivers, etc.
