Experience Libya through the City of Coronado Armchair Travel Program

The City of Coronado is happy to announce the Armchair Travel Program for May. The featured guest speaker is Pat Crowell, who will be presenting slides of his 2004 trip to Libya. While there, Pat travelled to many of the magnificent Greek and Roman cities along the coast; Cyrene, Appolonia and present day Benghazi along the eastern coast, and Tripoli, Leptis Magna and Sabratha along the western coast. He also ventured deep into the Sahara Desert to the Oasis of Ghadames. Please join us for what promises to be a fascinating look at a mysterious and seldom visited country.

Armchair Travel meets on the second Tuesday of the month, at 6:00pm in the Nautilus Room of the Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way. In May we will be meeting Tuesday May 12th. Refreshments will be served at 6:00pm and Mr. Crowell will begin his presentation at 6:45pm. Admission is $5 per person.

For additional information call (619) 522-7342. Mark your calendar for upcoming Armchair Travel Events this summer on Tuesdays, June 9, July 14 and August 11.
