Coronado Women’s Water Polo Finishes Up Their Season

Coronado fell victim to the CIF power rankings this week in the women’s water polo quarterfinals. Coronado (seeded 3rd) and Cathedral(seeded 6th), met too early in the play off schedule. Coronado fell short, losing 3-4.

On the brighter side, this group of girls can be proud of the dedication and hard work they have put in during the season. They are thankful to Coaches David Throop and Randy Burgess for the many hours they put in and the frustrations they may have endured to make this group a better team.Captain Cassidy Wiley says,” I am thankful to have been a part of such an amazing team coming out of a great program.”

Five of the Seniors have been on the Varsity team for 4 years, and at least three will continue the Coronado water polo tradition in college. All will tell you that their involvement in water polo has made them better students, and taught them the value of teamwork.
