Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge Presents Mike Hess Brewing Dinner Dec. 10th


Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Executive Chef JC Colón is composing an inspired menu to complement the beer flavors of Mike Hess Brewing that will be served in a five-course dinner. This beer-paired dinner is the perfect example of Colón’s food philosophy: focus on the pure taste of fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create a one-of-kind dish.

The dinner will begin at 6:30pm with an opening course of Fennel Cured Salmon paired with Claritas Kölsch. Followed by four courses consisting of Southern Fried Quail paired with Grazias Vienna Cream Ale for the second course. Then a Truffle Barley Risotto paired with Habitus Rye IPA. Next a Muscovy Duck Breast paired with Ex Umbris Rye Imperial Stout. And to close a German Black Forest Cake paired with Amplus Acerba San Diego Pale Ale. In addition, a Hess beer maker will be on hand to visit with guests and discuss the beers and pairings.

Mike Hess Brewing produces high quality, unique and distinctive beers for the craft beer lover and offers a unique experience that is enjoyed by novice and craft beer aficionados. One such aficionado of The New York Times reflects on his trip to the brewery: “Hess beers have a distinctive creamy texture, and the Vienna Cream Ale, Grazias, was unlike anything else I tasted that weekend, gently nut-toasty but refreshing all the same.”

The dinner is $65 per person and includes all food and wine, tax and gratuity are additional.
