Do you need some motivation to go out for a long run or bike ride down the Silver Strand bike path? If so, there is an undiscovered treasure awaiting you if you go.
The Silver Strand Bridge to Discovery is a collection of two looking posts and a statue. All three pieces are there for people to learn and observe what lies in the landscape of the San Diego Bay and the Coronado Bridge.
The statue, that can occasionally be viewed while driving down the Strand, is a triad of three large, rigid, almost red colored stones arranged in a circle. This statue is engraved with facts and figures about the areas wild life. It is so neat to stop and take an investigative look at the little pictures etched into the polished stones.
There is no doubt that standing on one of the Silver Strand Bridge to Discovery’s looking posts that one is reminded of how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.
Take the family on a bike ride down to the pier-like looking posts and stop to gaze at a different angle of Coronado Island.
