Nicky Rottens Parking Request Denied by the Planning Commission – Vote of 3-1

UPDATE: The Planning Commission rejected the Nicky Rottens parking proposal by a vote of 3-1. Even though it had the support of the Chamber of Commerce and MainStreet, the plan was voted down because the walking distance between the Coronado Hardware parking spaces and Nicky Rottens is more than 200 feet.

In January, the City Council will have the final say regarding this issue. Stay tuned.

The Coronado Planning Commission will be meeting December 13th, 2011 at 3pm. One of the items for discussion is the joint use of Coronado Hardware parking spaces so that Nicky Rottens can expand their dining area by 500 sq. ft. In order to expand, they need to have an additional parking space per 100 sq. ft.
