The City of Coronado is offering an exciting Youth Tennis Program this summer. USPTA Professionals Phillip Hopkins, Sue Beatty-Hites and Matt Hanlin bring with them a wealth of teaching experience to provide your child or teen with quality tennis instruction.
Tennis classes and camps are being held on the Coronado High School Courts (555 “D” Ave) and at the Coronado Cays Courts (100 Cays Blvd). Classes are available for children as young as 3 with a parent through young adults age 19.
New this summer is the Quickstart format of instruction that utilizes slower moving, lower bouncing balls and shorter, lighter racquets for children ages 3-10 years. This method increases student’s success rate at playing tennis from the start. With each session of classes they attend, your child or teen will improve their stroke, serve, return of serve and net play.
Enhance your child’s motor skills development and athleticism through tennis play.
Tennis classes are being offered from June 6th – August 19th. Class times and skill levels vary by day and location. For details or to register for any tennis classes or camps contact the Coronado Community Center (1845 Strand Way) by phone 522-7342 or online at www.coronado.ca.us.
