And the people of Coronado are supposed to apologize?
Redevelopment is a sensitive subject these days, and perhaps nowhere more in San Diego County than within this sparkling island of a city.
With Gov. Jerry Brown pressing for the abolishment of redevelopment agencies, state Controller John Chiang is analyzing the city along with 17 others statewide to determine if its urban renewal arm is an engine of economic growth or a scam (his word, not ours).
