Students Form Group To Stop Coronado HS Bullying

CORONADO, Calif. — Students at a local high school are pleading with school administrators to help stop what is being called an out-of-control bullying problem.

Many Coronado High School students said they have heard it all.

One student said she was made fun of for being Jewish, and other students said “that’s so gay” has been heard before.

Parent Hope Wiley said her son, who is half-Hispanic, is traumatized by the name-calling and bullying.

“He said, ‘I’m sick of being called the gardener,’ and ‘go get your gardening tools,'” said Wiley.
