My family was biking down the bike path near the Coronado Boathouse and we discovered a wonderful outdoor mural dedicated to “Tent City”. It’s an amazing historical retrospective that shows what Coronado used to look like around the Hotel del Coronado, the Coronado Boathouse, the Coronado Shores and the Coronado Marina. It’s a spectacular addition to the island and it’s an absolute must for locals and visitors alike.
Artist Todd Stands created “Imagine: Tent City” at the Promenade. It’s located just south of the Coronado Boathouse restaurant (1701 Strand Way) along the Marina. The images are old photos and artwork on tiles that form an incredible mural.
