Junior attack Hannah Smith and senior attack Chaz Major each added a pair of goals, and junior attack Laura Curtis and sophomore middie Allison Proehl both scored once for Rancho Bernardo (1-0), which won its season opener after converting nine free-position shots. Coronado (0-1), which lost a one-goal heartbreaker in last year’s CIF-San Diego Section championship game, fell in its season opener.
