Grub Sprawl Hits Coronado on August 8th, 2011

Event Time: 6 PM – 10 PM | Wristband Distribution: 5:45 PM

Wristband Pick-up: Brigantine Seafood Restaurant | 1333 Orange Ave.
Date: August 8th, 2011

How It Works:
At each Grub Sprawl, the staff at Alternative Strategies sets up tables outside select participating restaurants. There, our sociable staff passes out free wristbands and complimentary event maps. The wristbands denote that you are a Grub Sprawl participant and make you eligible for all the featured $5 dishes of the night.

Once receiving your wristband and map, you and your friends are free to visit the participating restaurants and receive the $5 dish. You can visit any restaurant in any order, as long as it takes place between 6-10pm. Some people like to visit every spot on the map, but trying a few is perfectly okay, too!

Why Grub Sprawls?
Grub Sprawls were created to bring awareness to the growing restaurant scenes within San Diego’s many communities. These one day events are beneficial to the community in providing a way for individuals to try restaurants and sample dishes that they may not have been able to previously experience. If you’re an individual feeling bored eating at the same old places, Grub Sprawls are absolutely for you!

Why Coronado?
Coronado has effortlessly taken its place as one of San Diego County’s most valued cities. Though the city is known for its beautiful island landscapes and resort-like lifestyle, many overlook one its greatest features: its restaurant scene! The majority of Coronado’s restaurants sit upon Orange Avenue, which is the island’s most popular street for tourists and locals alike. This central placement in the heart of Coronado provides the perfect opportunity for an enjoyable evening of dining and walking the avenue; thus, the reason for the Coronado Grub Sprawl. On August 8th, 2011, we hope to highlight some unseen treasures of this island community, as well as bring visitors back into their favorite establishments.
