The Lady Islanders golf team is having an outstanding season. Thus far, they are second in Division II schools. On Tuesday, junior Samantha Lorr guided the team with a leading 43 points. Then in Wednesday’s match Mary Damian set the bar at 36 points. This week’s matches were all played at Coronado Golf Course.
On Tuesday the Islanders shot 242 to Cathedral’s 258. Samantha Lorr was the medalist of the match with 43 and Annie Holland shot 45.
Wednesday’s best performers were Mary Damian with 36, followed by Mariella Avanni with 44 and Samantha Lorr with 47. CHS won with 222 to beat Point Loma’s 247.
The current record for varsity is 10 wins to four losses, and the freshman team has five wins to one loss.
The Lady Islanders play La Jolla on Monday, Oct 7, at home on the Coronado Golf Course.
