2019 Coronado Historic Home Tour: 50th Grand Jubilee

The Coronado Historical Association’s annual Coronado Historic Home Tour will again be held on Mother’s Day—this year on Sunday, May 12. In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Coronado Historical Association, and inspired by one of the very first historic home tours, seven examples of classic architecture around Coronado Island will be featured, within walking distance from Star Park and Ocean Boulevard.

While admiring the varied architectural and design features of the homes, guests will also be learning about the colorful history of Coronado. All seven homes retain their historic charm and original architectural details, but most have been meticulously remodeled, expanded, or restored in some fashion.

The annual Home Tour is the Coronado Historical Association’s largest community event. All income benefits the Association’s multitude of family education programs. Tickets are $40 for Coronado Historical Association members and $45 for non-members. Guests may also take advantage of the New Member Special, which includes two tickets for the Home Tour, and 1–year membership with the Association for $110. Tickets may be purchased in advance either at the Coronado Museum Store, 1100 Orange Avenue, Coronado, or online at www.coronadohistory.org.

Ticket purchases puts guests name on the Will Call List. Guests will pick up their home tour booklet, which acts as their ticket to enter each home, on the day of the event. The Will Call booths are located at Star Park (1030 Park Pl, Coronado, CA 92118) and the Coronado Historical Association (1100 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA). Will Call opens at 11:00 am. The tour is a leisurely stroll and can be accessed at guests own pace, so it is recommended to avoid the lines and pick up tickets any time after at 11:00 am including after lunch.
