Following much success and fanfare at 1500 OCEAN, Chef Patrick Ponsaty will broaden his culinary horizons on property as Executive Sous Chef of Hotel del Coronado. Having been with the property for over a year, the award-winning, fifth-generation Chef Patrick has been elevated to a larger role at the property, and the French master chef’s talents will be showcased across the resort where he’ll now touch everything you eat and drink at The Del.
Chef Patrick will be collaborating with Executive Chef Stefan Peroutka to elevate the resort’s wide range of culinary options, which span from the opulent Crown Room Sunday Brunch, the modern ENO Pizzeria & Wine Bar, the casual Sun Deck Bar & Grill and the storied Babcock & Story Bar, to name a few. Chef Patrick has been hailed by critics the world over for his accessible yet elegant approach, allowing the ingredients – not the chef himself – to be the star of the show, which was his primary focus over the last year at 1500 OCEAN.
Complementing Chef Patrick’s promotion at The Del, the resort and culinary team are partnering with Clique Hospitality on a new concept set to debut on property in 2019.
