My family has been waiting with great excitement for West Pac Noodle Bar to open, largely because we have been convinced that it would be the one place that offers something for everyone.
We went to West Pac for dinner on its second official open night – Tuesday, January 2, and brought the whole family plus one.
Choices
Once inside we headed to the walk-up counter to order. The menu offered plenty of options – from the to-be-expected ramen and edamame to many others, including bulgogi tacos, Burmese curry, fried rice and a long list of poke dishes. And, something that we hadn’t thought about: a very long list of draft beers.
For our mostly-vegetarian, we ordered the ramen (we take out the pork) and shrimp tempura. The adults ate the bulgogi tacos and the two pokes. We both agreed that the Aloha poke was very fresh and tasty, the bulgogi tacos were good and we would order them again (I would add, especially with beer).
As for the 14 year olds, they liked the ramen and the gyoza.
There were options that did not include rice (e.g., poke on greens) and there were definitely vegetables to be had, depending on your order. We think it would be an awesome happy hour stop. The happy hour menu includes several appetizers and $5 draft beers as well as glasses of sake and rosé.
West Pac Noodle Bar is open for happy hour from 3-6 pm, and offers a full dinner menu from 5 pm – 10 pm. It is expected to reopen for lunch in a couple of weeks.
