Help the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of San Diego SAVE a Women’s Life

HELP US SAVE A WOMAN’S LIFE!

I am contacting you on behalf of the HEAR program: Hope, Experiences, Awareness, & Risks…Ovarian Cancer…if I only knew then, what I know nowÂ…which is under the flagship of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of San Diego and sponsored by a “BEST FOR WOMEN’s GRANT 2015″ of the Soroptimist International of Coronado.

Currently, there is no screening test for the early detection of ovarian cancer which is the most lethal gynecologic cancer and one of the five leading causes of death among women in the country. Our goal is to increase the awareness of the symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer so women can learn what to watch for, to protect themselves and their loved ones. It is no longer the silent killer!!

We are providing presentations to community groups and civic organizations so they might benefit from some amazing ovarian cancer survivors’ experiences and the knowledge they have gained from their cancer journey.

From a recent presentation:

“The voices of OCASD are the most important voices you will ever listen too. Their information could save you or a loved one’s life. After losing my Sister-in-law to ovarian cancer, a disease she didn’t even know she had, I never want to see a life lost because of not knowing the signs of this terrible disease. Through education and awareness, OCASD has changed the lives of many families. Please don’t wait any longer to hear their words of wisdom.” Karen Cox – Pine Valley Ca.

If you would be interested in having us do a presentation, please see the contact information below. Due to the support of Soroptimist International of Coronado, we are able to make these presentations at no cost to the organization or civic groups.
