Robin Blaine Golden Nowinski, 1941 – 2015

Robin Blaine Golden Nowinski passed away on the morning of March 18, 2015, at Carolina Medical Center Northeast in Concord, North Carolina after a long illness.

Robin was born on November 30, 1941, in San Diego, California. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1959 and Stanford University in 1963 with a B.S. in Engineering before serving as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy in Da Nang, Vietnam. Afterward, Robin earned a M.S. in Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley in 1968 and focused his career as a civil engineer in San Francisco.

Robin was raised on “C” Avenue in Coronado. He was a disciplined runner during his youth, a Vietnam Seabee, an avid sculler, and a talented pianist.

Robin is survived by his daughters Laura, Martha, Sophie, and Emma, and his brother Peter (“Tony”).
