Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge Launches Dinner Series

This November Executive Chef Tim Kolanko of Blue Bridge Hospitality is launching a new dinner series at Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge dubbed “COOKING WITH FRIENDS”. The debut event with Executive Chef Christian Graves of Jsix & The Lost Abbey’s famed Co-Founder/Brewmaster Tomme Arthur is slated to coincide with San Diego Beer Week on Tuesday, November 11th and promises to be the first of many exciting collaborations between Chef Kolanko and friends—many of which just so happen to be some of San Diego’s most noted gourmands (Amy Dibiase, Jason McLeod and more). Each dinner the chefs will showcase a collaborative menu, designed to highlight their favorite beverage pairings from the realm of wine, beer or cocktails.

Each dinner will take place at 6:30 p.m. The upcoming November 11th 5-course menu is priced at $65 per person. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant at 619.437.6087 or making a reservation online at www.opentable.com or leroyskitchenandlounge.com.

ABOUT THE COLLABORATION: With an artisanal approach to produce and a relaxed, sophisticated style in the kitchen, Chef Christian Graves has been instrumental in helping elevate San Diego’s culinary scene, designing his menus to reflect only what local purveyors have in supply. For this collaboration at Leroy’s Graves has created a dynamic array of dishes with distinct flavor profiles— Seafood Sausage with Gougère & Pretzel, and Wood Fired Oven Goat (Two Ways) with Grape Leaf, Roasted Grapes & Fig Demi —that pay homage to a special selection of Lost Abbey’s noted brews. Revered as one of the nation’s top brewers, during his 18-year career, Lost Abbey’s Tomme Arthur has won a raft of awards and accolades (Great American Beer Festival, Chicago Real Ale Festival, International World Beer Cup) for his contributions to the world of craft beer. Kolanko, Graves and Arthur will be on hand throughout the evening to discuss tasting notes, lead attendees through the pairings, and no doubt share an anecdote or two.
