Edge of Valor is the fifth thriller featuring the World War II exploits of Cdr. Todd Ingram, commanding officer of the destroyer USS Maxwell (DD 525), who saves his ship when it is hit by a kamikaze off Okinawa. Upon later receiving news of the war’s end, Ingram expects to return home but instead is ordered to work with Japanese delegates to neutralize mines in Tokyo Bay to allow for the safe passage of Allied ships. He then finds himself in the middle of trying to defuse a Soviet attack. While his shipmates prepare for their voyage home, Ingram embarks on his own battle, and he doesn’t know whom to trust.
Edge of Valor was published in July 2014. For more information about John Gobbell, please visit www.johnjgobbell.com.
