CORONADO, Calif. – The main entrance to Naval Base Coronado was shut down Thursday afternoon when the driver of a pickup truck abandoned the vehicle and then ran into an adjacent neighborhood.
The motorist was a few vehicles back from the main gate of the station when he bolted about 1:30 p.m., authorities said.
