Last minute voting was fast and furious this past weekend for the PAWS of Coronado Canine Mayoral Election!
The polls closed at 5:00 pm this past Sunday. Voters were not limited to Coronado or even California. Votes came in from Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.
The votes are being counted and the new Canine Mayor Inauguration will be this Wednesday, April 30th at 5:00 pm at the Coronado Animal Care Facility.
Coronado Mayor Casey Tanaka will be the officiator and announce the new Mayor, the Vice Mayor and the Canine Council.
Said Mayor Tanaka, “I’m looking forward to seeing all of you and your canine Chiefs of a Staff, as well as my new Mayoral colleagues :-)”
