“Yappy Hour” at The Del Begins May 4

CORONADO, Calif. – Pet owners can unwind while sipping a refreshing Dog-Tail, while dogs can schmooze and romp to their heart’s content at Hotel del Coronado’s new “Yappy Hour,” which kicks off Sunday, May 4. Perfect for both guests and locals with four-legged friends, this lively “petworking” event will be held on the resort’s Sun Deck, from 4 to 5 p.m., every Sunday.

During the weekly event, dogs can lap up complimentary Evian and “yappatizers” (organic gourmet dog treats), while their owners take in the spectacular ocean setting and sip on pet-inspired libations such as a Hair of the Dog (a Chelada made with Golden Pilsner, fresh lime juice and The Del’s house Chelada mix), a tangy Greyhoundor Salty Dog (both made with grapefruit juice and vodka).

Welcoming all canines, this weekly social hour is part of the resort’s new “Del Dogs & Cats” program, which pampers pets upon check-in with amenities including a special in-room pet dining menu, Del-ightful dog and cat treats, bedding and more.

Hotel del Coronado and Beach Village at The Del is committed to the safety and comfort of all guests and visitors, furry and otherwise. For complete details on the new pet policies, visit www.hoteldel.com/pets and for reservations call 800-Hotel Del or visit www.hoteldel.com.
