USS Coronado, the Navy’s newest warship, is coming to Coronado for her commissioning in April 2014. USS Coronado is part of a new class of ships called Littoral Combat Ships that are specifically designed to operate at high speed in coastal areas.
Our ship will proudly carry the name Coronado across the seas to the four corners of the world. As part of the city-wide celebration for this unique and inspiring event and as a means to show the community’s support for both ship and crew, attractive green and white yard signs are being offered for display across Coronado.
Be part of this community-wide effort and show your own support for every hard-working member of the crew by displaying your own sign. Signs may be obtained at the Museum Store of the Coronado Historical Association at 1100 Orange Ave. Cost is $20. All proceeds are considered a charitable donation for tax purposes benefiting the USS Coronado Commissioning Committee to help defray costs associated with the event.
