The head brewer of Manzanita Brewery (of Santee) visited Village Pizzeria Bayside last night. Guests enjoyed $5 Manzanita IPA Cask pints and $3 specialty pints while learning about what goes into the art of making beer. What is Cask beer you might be wondering? Often referred to as ‘real ale’, cask beer is brewed from only traditional ingredients and allowed to mature naturally. This process allows malt and hop flavours to develop, resulting in a richer tasting drink with more character than standard keg (‘brewery-conditioned’) beers.

Also in celebration of San Diego Beer Week, Oceanside Aleworks Brewers will be will in Coronado on Wednesday 11/9 for a Tap Takeover at both Village Pizzeria Bayside (5p-7p) and Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge (8p-10p).
