City of Coronado & Old Goats Honor Four Wounded Warriors Sunday November 13, 2011

Wounded Warriors – Only A Bridge Away

You are invited to spend Veterans Day Sunday evening with some special guests.

The Old Goats and the City of Coronado will honor four of our wounded warriors and their caregivers from the San Diego Naval Hospital at our second annual evening reception from 5-8 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2011.

We hope to expand the reception size by inviting veterans and military supporters, so we can convey our thanks to these brave heroes in a meaningful way.

Your presence at the reception will be your present to the wounded warriors we are honoring. Please join Mayor Tanaka, Coronado City Council members, and Naval Medical Center C5 Unit Wounded Warriors and their caregivers for the festivities.

The reception will be held at the Nautilus Room, Coronado Community Center (adjacent to City Hall), 1825 Strand Way in Coronado. Jennifer Town, Capt NC USN (ret), director of the Comprehensive Combat and Complex Casualty Care (C5) program and Coronado resident, will be guest speaker.

Casual dress. Buffet style appetizers, margaritas, beer, and wine from the Brigantine family of restaurants. The reception price is $40 per person which will also cover the cost of one honored guest, wounded warrior or care giver.

Of interest, this year we are also working with Coronado restaurants to try to host the many other remaining C5 wounded warriors at some point over Veterans Day weekend. Participating businesses include:

Bistro d’Asia; Café 1134; Clayton’s Coffee Shop;

Clayton’s Mexican Takeout; Coronado Boathouse 1887; Coronado Brewing Co.; Costa Azul

; Current at Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa; Island Pasta Coronado; LeRoy’s

Kitchen+Lounge; Lil’ Piggy’s Bar-B-Q; McP’s Irish Pub & Grill; MooTime Creamery;

Ristorante La Terrazza; Spiro’s Gyros Greek Cafe; Tent City Restaurant; Vigilucci’s Ristorante

and Village Pizzeria.

To attend the reception, please send $40 per person to Ben Hallowell 850 C Ave #1 Coronado CA 92118 email [email protected] or telephone (619) 435-2897.

If you are unable to attend the reception, your donation to help us to cover the costs would also be greatly appreciated.
