The Coronado Tennis Center (located at 1501 Glorietta Blvd) has 8 courts (3 lighted) and has been going through a major remodel over the last few months. eCoronado.com has been informed that the new club house and Pro Shop will be completed in early 2011. The facilities will also include bathrooms, a kitchen, BBQ area, covered seating area and pro office. The courts, private lessons and tennis Pro Shop are all available during construction.
The City currently contracts with USPTA Professional 1 Phillip D. Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins offers private lessons and clinics. He operates the Pro Shop located at the Coronado Tennis Center and offers racket stringing, ball machine rental, a complete line of tennis merchandise and video stroke analysis.
