San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation Grant

Press Release
Lea Corbin, (619) 522-7370

Through a grant from the San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation, Coronado Police Detective vehicles will now contain trauma kits that can greatly assist with quickly stopping blood loss from major trauma wounds. The same medical trauma kits were purchased by the Foundation in 2009 for all Coronado Police patrol vehicles. In addition to the trauma kits, the 2010 grant from the Foundation also funded lighting equipment for Officers, that allows for hands free lighting as well as emergency strobe operations for officers performing functions in hazardous locations. This equipment, obtained through the generous grant from the Foundation, will provide a higher level of safety to the public and Coronado Police Officers. The San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation is dedicated to serving the needs of the San Diego County Police and Sheriff’s Departments and can be contacted at http://www.sdclef.com
