Tucked in the Barrio Logan neighborhood, Blueprint Café is located in an architect-owned building and boasts a bold and spirited interior. Our outdoor café makes lunch, or a glass of wine and wonderful light plates in the late afternoon, a nice escape. Blueprint is also available to host your special event.
As my wife and I sat down to enjoy our Blueprint Cafe burgers and salads we noticed that from the patio, we could see the Coronado Bridge and Petco stadium. The food was delicious and the service spectacular.
The highlight of the lunch was when the owner Gayle Covner chatted us up about our meal and our feedback. She was a delightful conversationalist and told us her story about moving here from New York. She was quite a character and very charming. Learn more about Gayle here.
After lunch, we walked around the corner to get some coffee from Ryan Bros Coffee shop. It’s not really a shop, more of a industrial palace with lots of red brick, oven roasters and lots of space to enjoy your drink. We spoke with one of the owners, Harry Ryan, and he gave us a tour of the beautiful facility and explained to us how they roast the coffee and ship it all over the world. We really enjoyed the spacious building all the places to stretch out and enjoy a cup of Joe. They also have a pool table, meeting room and free WIFI.
