The Coronado HS girls varsity team squared off against La Jolla HS on Jan. 21 and came out on top 3-1. The Islanders are now 11-1-2 overall and have gone an impressive 12 games without a loss. The match was the first time the two defending Western League co-champions have met since La Jolla defeated the Islanders, 4-0, in the CIF Div. III finals last year.
