(Jan. 14, 2010) NAVAL AIR STATION NORTH ISLAND, Calif., — Coronado City Councilmember Barbara Denny and Councilmember Mike Woiwode walk with Naval Base Coronado (NBC) Executive Officer, Capt. Jim Alger and other military and civilian employees during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Walk aboard Naval Air Station North Island, Jan. 14. More than 500 military and civilian employees celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during a ceremony in the base theater after the walk. The annual event was coordinated by the Fleet Readiness Center, Southwest and featured local performers including the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Choir from San Diego.
