This major outdoor music festival will rock out Downtown San Diego with 45 wildy diverse bands on 5 stages over the 2 days. Headlining this year are the Black Eyed Peas. The Gaslamp Quarter knows it will see many of the Street Scene attendees both before and after the concert as we have the perfect mix of places for dining and rejuvinating. Have no fear that you will be able to enjoy Gaslamp as your normally do on weekends. The festival is several blocks to the East of our neighborhood and the short walk will keep the crowds moving Street Scene celebrates their 25th year of outdoor street festivals in 2009. The event began in the Gaslamp Quarter in 1984 where it found plenty of empty gaps and parking lots to fill with stages, and booths for food & beverages. As Gaslamp grew over the next 20 years, the empty spaces filled in. Street Scene was challenged to find adequate space and began attempted runs at larger venue spaces in 2005 before settling in at Petco Park. Gaslamp supports Street Scene as it brings many new visitors to downtown San Diego and we all like a good party. Get all the ticket, parking and dining information here.
